ARC/STSA Bylaws – 2014 Revision

The Bylaws for the ARC/STSA which govern the organization’s operations undergo periodic review and updating. As a result of that review process, the ARC/STSA Board of Directors implemented minor revisions for 2014. Those revisions facilitate the application review process for accredited and applicant surgical assisting programs by streamlining the organization’s review process.

As part of the ARC/STSA’s ongoing commitment to organizational transparency for all of our communities of interest, the revised Bylaws are posted at the links indicated below.

Subcommittee on Accreditation for Surgical Assisting (SASA)

Effective April 1 2014, the ARC/STSA Board of Directors amended the organization’s Bylaws reducing the number of appointed representatives on the organization’s Subcommittee on Accreditation for Surgical Assisting (SASA) from five (5) to three (3) members.

The change to SASA’s composition was based on a multiyear assessment of applications and reviews and is intended to streamline the organization’s ability to conduct the business of specialized programmatic accreditation.
