AAD Pathway Policy Revised – Eligibility Expanded

Do you know a practicing surgical technologist who was on-the-job trained (OJT) and wants to become a CST? Great news, effective August 1, 2013, an OJT surgical technologist regardless of when he/she trained, can qualify for admission to an approved Accelerated Alternate Delivery (AAD) pathway program which leads to CST exam eligibility upon completion. Effective January 1, 2013, programs must submit all documentation to the ARC/STSA in electronic/digital format only. No hard copy documentation will be accepted. Submissions should consist of one single, “seamless” electronic/digital PDF file. Continue reading
